Larry Bartels is the Shayne Chair of Public Policy and Social Science at Vanderbilt University and former Donald E. Stokes Professor of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. He is also a founding director of the Center for the Study of Democratic Politics in Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School. Professor Bartels has a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science from Yale University and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
His scholarly work focuses on American democracy, including public opinion, electoral politics, public policy, and representation.
