Stephen Cohen is a senior fellow in The India Project, part of the Foreign Policy program at Brookings and Professor Emeritus of History and Political Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UICU). Cohen was also the Founder and Director of the Program in Arms Control, Disarmament, and International Security at UIUC. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin and M.A. and B.A. from the University of Chicago.
His research concerns South Asia, India, and the Pacific and issues such as arms sales, weapons trading, and security.
