Carol A. Stein is a Professor of Earth and Environmental Science at the University of Illinois, Chicago. She earned her B.S. from the California Institute of Technology and her M.S. and Ph.D. from Columbia University.
Professor Stein’s research addresses the thermal evolution of oceanic lithosphere and hydrothermal circulation and North America’s Midcontinent rift system.
