Ernesto Verdeja is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame and is the Executive Director of the Institute for the Study of Genocide. Professor Verdeja earned his B.A. in Government and Philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from the New School of Social Research.
His research concerns large-scale political violence (genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity), transitional justice, forgiveness and reconciliation, trials, truth commissions, apologies, and reparations.
