Halvard Buhaug is a Research Professor at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) and a Professor of Political Science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
Professor Buhaug’s research is concentrated in conflict studies, with a focus on the relationship between the environment and conflict, ethno-political exclusion and civil war, and the local determinants of civil war.
