Claus Pörtner is an Associate Professor of Economics at Seattle University and Research Affiliate of the Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology at the University of Washington. He earned his M.A. in Development Economics from the University of Sussex at Brighton and B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Copenhagen.
Professor Pörtner’s main research interests are population, household, labor, and development economics.
