Maciej Witek is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Szczecin and President of the Polish Society for Cognitive Science. In 2009, Professor Witek was the recipient of a Fulbright Senior Advanced Research Grant. He earned his M.A. in Philosophy from Jagiellonian University and Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Zielona Góra.
Professor Witek’s main areas of research are pragmatics and philosophy of language, with a special emphasis on speech act theory and contextualist models of meaning.
